Q: What are Tech Social events all about? Who attends? Why?

A: Find answers in the Tech Social FAQ

TL; DR: meet friendly tech nerds, drinks on the house, sometimes free pizza, ultra chill, no dirtbags.

►►►►SPECIAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: July’s Mega Tech Social is @ the main Rotunda at Toronto City Hall. Extra people, extra community, extra passion, extra everything. Sponsor our Tech Social series now to showcase your company & team in our member emails and events, including this Mega Tech Social. Who attends? Folks from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, all the big banks, all the little banks, Amazon, etc. If you like chatting up interesting people, you should 100% come hang. Always a great group:

This is the fun way to connect with the -actual- tech community. Down-to-earth and friendly: you show up, make friends, hear from quality people. Easy. We're mostly tech folk, but all nice people are welcome. First timer? Expect this (short video).

||► RUNDOWN / AGENDA

7:00pm - register, get drink, chat up interesting people
7:40pm - announcements, SuperConnect*
7:55pm - more delightful conversations
9:59pm - retrieve Amulet of Yendor, high five volunteers, ciao

* SuperConnect gives you 10 seconds to share who you are, who you wanna meet, and one thing you care about. It's simple, quick, and low-stress (yay introverts!). Participation is optional, feedback is universally positive. Come early, don't miss out! Check this one time we had to go outside, because all-the-people:

Example: "Hi, I'm Pepito. I do DevOps at Future Shop and wanna find a cofounder for my artificial-crypto-learning app for chihuahuas. Why? Because I freaking love chihuahuas."

Got friends in tech who'd be interested? Bring them along. Tech Socials are even more fun with friends. Everything is better together. :)
